ISIS has not done a good job of masking its recent Tool-inspired stylistic shift. Their last album, the opening slot on Tool’s arena tour, and now even their video for “Holy Tears” looks like it could easily have been a clip for a 10,000 Days single.
Not that I mind. While I was originally bored and unimpressed with In the Absence of Truth, it really grew on me. A lot. Especially after watching most of it performed live. And honestly, this video is better than any of Tool’s videos post-Aenima . Can’t wait to get this on DVD to blow it up on the big screen.
